My name is Lukas Fisher, and I am a passionate outdoorsman, traveler, camper, and photographer studying wildlife biology at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI. This platform was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: making it effortless for adventurers to discover the beauty that Michigan holds.

The Goal:

At Mitten Wandering, my goal is to be your go-to resource for discovering the enchanting landscapes, vibrant ecosystems, and captivating experiences that Michigan offers in the most beginner-friendly way possible. Fueled by a love for exploration and sharing the natural beauty Michigan has to offer, I want to create simple travel guides that not only showcase the must-visit destinations but also explain a little bit about some of the diverse flora and fauna that make each place unique.

Unlike generic travel guides, Mitten Wandering aims to provide a user-friendly guide to exploring Michigan's wonders. These simple guides will consist of a blend of vivid photography from the locations, what you need to know going to the locations, and even some fun Michigan road trips you can do with your friends or family! As I progress towards a degree in wildlife biology at Cornerstone University, I also want to incorporate some information about the natural features, wildlife, and plants into each of the guides to help create a more unique experience when you go to these locations.
